Animal Adoptions at The Animal Farm Petting Zoo

Give a Rescued Animal a Second Chance – or Help One Find a Forever Home

We provide shelter and care for homeless, unwanted, and former pet animals. Many calm, friendly residents are ready for new homes—perfect for families, classrooms, offices, or backyard farms.

We handle adoptions out (you take an animal home) and intakes/surrenders. All proceeds support animal care.

Adopting an Animal

Many of our animals are available for adoption through a small donation. These gentle pets—often older and calmer—were once loved companions separated from families through no fault of their own.

Commonly available (availability varies—call to check current options):
- Guinea Pigs to cuddle
- Bunnies to snuggle
- Ducks (egg-layers too!)
- Chickens & Hens
- Geese & Guinea Hens
- Nigerian Dwarf Goats
- Sheep
- And more—ask if it's not listed!

Cages and equipment are often available too.

Adoption fees are a small donation (various amounts apply and subject to change). Check local zoning laws before adopting farm animals, and know you're committing to proper food, shelter, and care—we're not responsible once adopted out.

Surrendering an Animal

Please be aware, we understand the emotional toll giving up a beloved pet has on you and your family. Decide if this is the best decision possible for your family and your pet. The transition can be very difficult for you and for your pet.

It is very stressful for any animal to be moved from it’s everyday surroundings to a new one. Because of this not all animals can make the adjustment safely. Their health may be greatly affected by this sudden change. Animals that do not adjust to the different environment, can become highly stressed and are much more susceptible to becoming very ill. Adoption out, disposition or placement will be at our discretion.

If you feel you will need to come back and visit often with your former pet, we suggest a Season Pass. This will allow you to visit as often as you like. We cannot guarantee your pet will stay in the park. Once an animal is in our adoption program, we do try to find homes for them. Happily, many are placed with great success.

Call first to make an appointment and confirm we have room (631-878-1785).
